This seminar will cover the essentials of effective business communication in a global economy.
With the knowledge of the differences between cultural perspectives, cross-cultural communications can be smoother and more successful.

Several ethical theories used in business : Carr’s theory "Poker game analogy", Friedman’s theory.

Utilitarianism, the de-ontological approach, NORM theory

Ethics and legality, global considerations in a multi-cultural world

Manager’s obligations, employees rights, customers as stakeholders, competitors and suppliers as stakeholders, applying ethics in corporations.

This seminar will cover the ethical issues confronting the corporation and their managers who have to consider moral choice in their decision making  process. The NORM theory, recently developed, is flexible enough to be used in many contemporary issues. News articles and some case studies will be viewed to illustrate the impact and necessity for business ethics.
