"Democracy" Tuesday, June 18

Democracy has been considered the best political system among a bad lot. A poltical system supposedly to be propelled by its citizens — the people. Giving rise to a rule by majority has its advantages, but it also raises some questions. One of the conditions of this political system run by the people is that they be well informed in order to make the right decisions. Does the media inform us well or truthfully enough? How can we avoid a ‘tyranny of the majority’?
